Rankings with a reason

There is no single best college.

There are colleges that stand out for a specific goal. Every CollegeLineup ranking names that goal, shows its method, and counts the colleges it left out.

On any list here, you can see

  • What the list is actually measuring
  • Which colleges were considered, and which were left out
  • How the order was decided, and what happens to missing numbers
  • Where every figure came from and what year it is from

How the lists stay useful

Rankings are a starting point, not a verdict.

01

No hidden overall score

Use named factors and weights that a student can inspect.

02

No penalty for missing data

Colleges missing a required value are excluded and counted on the page. An empty value is never treated as zero.

03

No paid placement

Advertising must never change eligibility, position, or editorial language.

04

No guarantee language

A ranking cannot promise admission, affordability, graduation, or a job.
