Planning a college list should work for everyone.
CollegeLineup targets WCAG 2.2 AA across the whole site. Here is what that means in practice, what still needs work, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
The standard
WCAG 2.2 AA is the target
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA, are the measuring stick for every page and tool on this site. That target shapes decisions from color choices to how a missing number is announced by a screen reader.

What the site already does
- A visible skip link jumps keyboard users straight to the main content.
- Every control works by keyboard, with a visible focus ring that stays visible.
- Every form control has a persistent label. No placeholder-only fields.
- Result counts and save confirmations are announced through polite live regions, so screen reader users hear them without losing their place.
- Animations respect your reduced-motion setting.
- Status is never shown by color alone. Category chips and fit labels always carry text, and decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
- Missing data reads as "Not reported" instead of an empty cell, so a blank never has to be interpreted.
- Tables have captions and proper headers, and wide content scrolls inside its own container.
Honestly
Known limitations
This starter is under active development, and accessibility testing continues. Some pages have had more testing than others, and combinations of browsers and assistive technology can behave in ways we have not caught yet. When something falls short of the AA target, that is a bug, and we want to know about it.

- What you were trying to do
- Your browser and any assistive technology you were using
Every report gets read, and fixes are prioritized over new features.
